Huron Township LDFA Properties Update
Over the past years the LDFA of Huron Township has been actively promoting its business opportunities to try to attract well matched corporations and entrepreneurs to the Southeastern Michigan Township. It seems through their digital presence and active marketing campaign along with the aid of its proactive volunteer commission, they are seeing some serious development for all of their cooperative efforts. Only several lots remain available for purchase. Contact Joan at (734) 753-4466 EXT 115 for the exact locations.
So far this year, construction on a very large manufacturing company, Inergy is on the verge of completing it new facility and Brose has purchased the large vacant Chrysler Mopar building and is in the process of re-modeling. Both groups have relied on the Local DevelopmentFinance Authority to help with road infrastructure for heavy truck usage upgrades sewer, water and power facilities.
There is a potential of approximately 1000 employees in an area of under 5 miles. With the influx of jobs expected to this area the LDFA board is asking again for interested restaurateurs to consider prime LDFA property for a new endeavor. Currently there are only a couple of small restaurants in the area and clearly there is an opportunity for a franchise or individually owned food business to thrive in this community.
Some of the LDFA commissioners are hoping for some sit down restaurants to locate into the area. “It is our hope that we can sustain additional business if we can attract some family style eating facilities to our community.” Said Mr. R.P. Lilly, LDFA Chairman. “Huron Township is a quiet country like setting and our LDFA properties are nestled right next to the expressway, railway and airport. We’re close enough to the Metro area but far enough away for business to enjoy a hometown atmosphere. We certainly are ‘Hungry in Huron’ for some new dining facilities.”
The Huron Township LDFA will soon be turning its full attention to LDFA 2, another 300 acres of prime property in the Pinnacle arealocated between Sibley Road and Pennsylvania Road. These pristine parcels, which are not like any other properties available in this area, include already installed sewer, water, power as well as a currently under construction paved road, with close proximity to the expressway and Metro Airport.
