Pinnacle FInal Arrangements May Lead Way to New Business

The  Pinnacle Race Course business is about to come to a close as the township has set dates to auction property seized to pay back taxes.

According to  The News Herald, The online auction will run from Tuesday to June 25, with Tuesday being a preview day, township Treasurer Linda Spangler said. The auction will be run by RJ Montgomery and Associates.

Anyone interested in the auction can register at the company’s website, RJMAuctions.com.

While most of the equipment is being stored at the company’s facility in Plymouth, some larger items are at the track, 18000 Vining Road. Participants will be able to visit both sites from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to preview items.

Spangler said the items will be on the back of the track property, which is off Pennsylvania Road between Wayne and Vining roads. Directions are on the auction company’s website.

While this door seems to close on the  trouble property there is hope on the horizon. According to the  Huron Township LDFA committee chair R.P. Lilly,” there does seem to be interest in the property for re-development by several parties.” They are not currently saying who that might be but check here for forthcoming details.
