Rob Luce, executive director of Aerotropolis Detroit, updated the LDFA on the offerings of the new and improved Aerotropolis including efforts on thirty-six projects since he took over the role six months ago. Six of those projects are in Huron Township.
Mr. William Hunter, General Manager at Brose, New Boston presented an update of the Brose facility expansion to the Huron Township Local Development Finance Authority at their September board meeting.
The expansion which resulted in the purchase of the adjacent property was in response to a projected 400% increase in their seat business. The plan includes a vertical integration with an automated high bay, a 1,000 meter paint line, employee locker rooms, additional parking for 600 new employees, preparation space for five hundred hot, employee meals and an on-site daycare facility.
Scott Cameron, accountant with the Huron Township Clerk’s office, recently was recently appointed to recording secretary for the Local Development Finance Authority of Huron Township. He replaces Joan Rattary who retired from the Township Clerk’s office this July.
