The Economic Gardening® service helps CEOs build stronger teams, identify new markets and sharpen their competitive edge using high-end corporate research tools for qualified second stage companies.

Business can expect a focus on one or two major business issues or strategic growth challenges, such as developing new markets, refining business models or gaining access to competitor intelligence. They can ealso expect a quick-turnaround engagement—it is targeted, fast, and virtual, taking approximately six to eight weeks

Specialists will commit to 35 hours working for your company and the CEO will benefit from a commitment of eight to 12 hours to communicate with a team leader and national research specialists at no cost to the company.

Defined, the Local Development Financing Act (LDFA), , allows eligible entities to establish area boundaries, create and implement a development plan, acquire and dispose of interest in real and personal property, issue bonds and use tax increment financing to fund public infrastructure improvements for eligible property.  The tool is designed to promote economic growth and job creation.  Communities across Michigan have used this tool to support companies in manufacturing, agricultural processing, and high technology operations.
