Excitement is Building in Huron Township for Family Dining at PoeFolk’s

There is some excitement building around a new eatery coming to the town. PoeFolk’s Family dining claims to be Southern Cooking at its finest and soon will be open for breakfast, and lunch with daily specials.

A local couple, John and Chantell Poe started a slow cooking catering business with a trailer and a BBQ and hit the trail at festivals and events over the past few years. They were very successful in their catering, so they started the search for their own hometown diner to put down roots in a local community.

“We are so excited to bring good, home cooking to New Boston/Huron Township.” Said John Poe, “We offer a mix of our Southern recipes and some recipes we picked up from friends along the way.”

Look for daily specials that include Stuffed Cabbage, Chicken Paprikash, Breaded Porkchops, & Chantell’s Awesome Meatloaf. The family dining experience will feature home-made, home-town and homey good feelings at their new location.

“This is a treat for the Huron Township and New Boston community,” said R.P. Lilly, Chairman of the Local Development and Finance Authority. “We have been courting franchise restaurants for years to choose Huron Township to service the many employees that are located in the LDFA district. Our small town only has a couple eateries and we sure wanted a nice sit down, family dining restaurant in our Township. We are so excited the Poe’s chose to relocate here!”

The PoeFolk Family Dining restaurant will be located at 37005 Huron River Dr. New Boston, Michigan and you can check out how they are coming along on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/poefolksfoods/.

There are currently over 1,200 managers and well-paid employees in the District creating a growing and increasingly viable market for restaurant services in the Township. There will soon be more employees in the area with a Brose Manufacturing expansion slated for later this year and expectation for 600-800 additional workers over the next two years.

The volunteer LDFA Board assists many companies in the Township with creative financing and technical assistance as well as infrastructure planning.  Additional restaurants are also welcome and may be able to connect with the developing infrastructure in the LDFA and could expect the full cooperation of the LDFA in obtaining information concerning potential for growth in the Township.”

Huron Township is a wonderful place to live and work.  While properties are rural and have a country setting, the community has much to offer in friendly residential neighborhoods, outstanding schools, metro parks, golf, and other outdoor activities.  Huron Township and New Boston, Michigan are a stone’s throw from all of the excitement of urban living.
